Come Here My Furry Friend
$150.00 – $300.00
Idea behind the painting: Grimm’s Fairy Tales had strange characters. I never realized how wicked they were until I was an adult. For instance, an old woman or a cannibalistic witch who fattens and eats children (Hanzel and Gretel). These fairy tales conjure up some fun images. The Grimm’s Fairytales was in my mind when I found a photo of an old hippie woman. I over emphasized her body features and put her in a kitchen that could be deep in a forest in Germany. I couldn’t have her trying to kill children, so I had her trying to kill a mouse and not realizing she had stepped on her dog’s tail.
