Idea behind the painting: The man in the derby is Wallace, who was a TV comedy show host for teenage audiences in Phoenix, Arizona. I loved the show, as did all kids did in Arizona, from ages 10 to 25. Kids enjoy blowing bubbles, so I put Wallace in some bubbles to reflect the happiness he brought to teenagers.
