Fly Me to the Moon

Idea behind the painting: Pabst Blue Ribbon brewery runs an art contest each year. The winner gets their art printed on the back of all Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans the following year. One restriction is the image should be made in colors on Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cans, which is white, blue, red and the silver color of the can. Previous winners had simplified, cartoon style images. With these factors in mind, I created ‘Fly Me to the Moon’. I am a big fan of Frank Sinatra’s version of this song. I love robots, and used them as the pilots of the rockets.
