Bob, Where Are the Margaritas?

$80.00$250.00

Idea behind the painting: Growing up in Phoenix, we had two seasons: hot and dangerously hot. Temperatures always topped 100 degrees Farenheit in March and would get hotter the remaining summer months. In November it would finally get below 100 degrees in the daytime. Due to the heat, many people had swimming pools. Both in the ground or as in this painting, above ground. I remember seeing my best friend’s parents and their friends hanging out in their above ground pool. They were having drinks and a very good time. I gave each of them about 80 more pounds and reduced the size of the pool. To me…this is farmer country happiness. Cool water, friends and cold beer.
