Freddie Mercury Tribute

Idea behind the painting: The movie about rock band Queen won best actor and best picture at the 2019 Oscars. In tribute to this achievement, and knowing there are die-hard Queen fans, I did a portrait of Freddie Mercury. I used a stance that reflected Freddie’s strength as a performer before he got sick. A dark background highlights his favorite yellow leather jacket. A tribute to a great singer (he was one of only a few men that could sing 4 octaves). Note that this painting can be printed on a coffee cup.
