For over 40 years, the Museum of Fine Art in St. Petersburg Florida had two ancient mosaics buried in their lawn and forgot about them. Recently found, museum officials believe the staff in the 1960s buried them as a storage solution. The mosaics were originally excavated from the ancient city of Antioch and are dated from 100-300 CE. Current museum officials do not know why they were buried.
